In 2006, Animal Logic worked with director Zack Snyder on 300 to bring the ancient Battle of Thermopylae to the big screen and provided visual effects art direction for the stylised look of 300. The team created all of the shots for an epic eight-minute battle scene that was shot entirely on blue screen, in which the 300 Spartans first battle the Persians.
